The Swedish
Technology Company “Einride” has unveiled a self-driving electric truck, that
is remotely controlled by drivers. It is so small than the heavy trucks.
The company
said in a statement that "T-Pod" could reduce carbon dioxide
emissions from transport of goods in Sweden by up to 60 per cent by 2030.
T-Pod is the
first vehicle of the firm that should be able to travel more than 200 km with a
single load and could carry fifteen pallets in only 7 meters in length, for a
total weight of 20 tons.
Einride has planned
to develop a fleet of 200 vehicles that will travel through Sweden, from
Gothenburg to Helsingborg before it will be an international commercialization.
